Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit www.tompinstrategy.com (the "Website"), why, and what rights you have. The Website is simple by design: it has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment section, no analytics and no advertising trackers.

2. What data is processed
Server log files
When you visit the Website, the web server automatically records technical information that your browser sends:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Page or file requested (for example, the free Starter Kit PDF)
- Browser type, operating system and referring page
Purpose: delivering the Website, keeping it secure and fixing technical problems.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a secure, working website.
Retention: log files are kept for up to [30] days and then deleted automatically, unless needed longer to investigate a security incident.
Emails you send
If you contact me by email, I process your email address and the content of your message only to reply to you.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Retention: until the conversation is finished, and no longer than [12 months] after it.
Free Starter Kit download
The Starter Kit is a direct PDF download. You do not need to provide your name, email address or any other personal data to get it. The only data recorded is the server log entry described above.
3. Cookies
The Website itself does not set any cookies and does not use analytics, tracking pixels or social media widgets. Fonts are loaded from your own device, not from external font services.
4. Affiliate links and external websites
Some links on the Website are affiliate links, for example to Tailwind. If you click one and later make a purchase, I may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. No personal data is passed from this Website to the partner when you click.
Once you arrive on an external website, that website may set its own cookies, including affiliate tracking cookies, and processes your data under its own privacy policy. I have no control over this, so please check the privacy policy of any site you visit.
5. Who receives your data
The Website is hosted by [Hosting provider name, address], which stores the server log files on my behalf as a data processor. Your data is not sold, rented or shared for marketing purposes. Data is only disclosed to authorities where the law requires it.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- request access to the personal data I hold about you
- request correction of inaccurate data
- request deletion of your data
- request restriction of processing
- object to processing based on legitimate interest
- receive your data in a portable format, where applicable
To exercise any of these rights, email me at the address above. I will reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. In Hungary this is the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, naih.hu). You can also contact the authority in the EU country where you live or work.
7. Children
The Website is intended for adults running a business and is not directed at children under 16.
8. Changes to this policy
If the Website changes, for example if I add an email newsletter or analytics, I will update this policy and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
